At House Washing Huntsville Alabama we know that selecting the right pressure washing or house washing company can be a bit challenging. So, in an effort to be helpful, we wanted to provide some answers to the most common questions customers tend to ask:

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. While there is a very low risk of our cleaning systems doing any damage to your home or property, we carry efficient insurance to cover any costs should they arise. We are also licensed and follow all city and county business requirements.

What cleaning methods to you use?

Obviously there are different methods for different surfaces so we use the most appropriate system for each surface.

For soft-washing of the house we use a low-pressure spray approach. We fan spray a sodium-hypochlorite and surfactant based solution to the surface, allow it to dwell for 5 to 10 minutes, and then rinse with a low pressure pure water. This approach safely removes dirt, algae, mold, and mildew. There is no risk of damage to your home.

For concrete, brick, and other “hard” surfaces we use a pressure washing systems set at the appropriate amount of pressure to blast away set in dirt, algae, and mildew. We do not “over” pressurize our equipment but rather use the industry recommended pressure settings. Typically, no chemicals or cleaning solutions are required with this approach. There may be some situations that would require a sodium-hypochlorite and surfactant based solution being applied to a surface, but this is rare.

Do you offer a free, written estimate?

Yes, once we gather appropriate amount of information from you, we will text or email (or both) a written estimate. The estimate is the amount you will pay upon completion of the service unless you decide to add any further cleaning.

Are your cleaning solutions safe for plants, pets, and children?

As noted, no solutions are utilized when cleaning hard sarfaces like driveways, sidewalks, and patios; so the process is completely safe. When we are soft-washing your home’s exterior we do recommend that animals and children stay within the home during the cleaning process. Sodium hypochlorite (the solution that ALL house-wash companies use) shouldn’t get on skin or clothes as “bleaching” or skin irritation is possible. It typically takes an hour or less to clean a home’s exterior so the time inside is minimal.

We remove all moveable plants from porches and patios so there is no risk of our solution getting on them. Shrubbery and other planted greenery are sprayed with a heavy amount of water before the cleaning process and thoroughly rinsed after the cleaning process. There is virtually no risk of damage to plants with this process.

What is your experience with my specific type of siding (vinyl, brick, stucco)?

We have successfully cleaned every surface type in the Huntsville and surrounding areas (countless times). We are confident that we can clean your property to your satisfaction.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. If you are not completely satisfied we will rush back out to your home and re-clean it. If after the second cleaning you are still unsatisfied, we will provide an immediate and full refund.
